Bethany Christian School, established in 1980, is a ministry of Rio Vista Community Church that offers PK2-Grade 8. The school is located in the Rio Vista neighborhood of downtown Ft. Lauderdale and currently has approximately 230 students. Bethany is well known for offering academic excellence in a nurturing, Christ-centered environment. Small class sizes coupled with individualized attention ensure that our students experience maximum success on the academic, emotional, and spiritual fronts.
Year after year, our students achieve scores well above the national average on the Iowa Tests of Basic Skills. For the 2010-2011 school year, Bethany placed in the top 10% of participating schools; our schoolwide average performance was one year and one month above grade level. In addition, over the last 2 years 18 BCS students have been selected for Duke University Talent Identification Program on the basis of their superior ITBS scores.
Bethany's middle school graduates routinely matriculate into the high schools of their choice. In the past, our eighth-graders have been accepted to St. Thomas Aquinas, Cardinal Gibbons, Westminster Academy, University School, and American Heritage. We are fully accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools, the National Council for Private School Accreditation, and Christian Schools of Florida. Bethany is also a member of the Association of Christian Schools International.
Bethany Christian School is located on US1 (South Federal Highway between Broward Boulevard and Davie Boulevard) in Ft. Lauderdale. From I-95, exit Broward Boulevard (east). Turn right (south) on US-1 and proceed through the Kinney Tunnel. The school office is on the corner of US1 and SE 8th Street. |

Don't miss this star-studded event guaranteed to entertain! The show will take place Friday, February 10, at 6:30 p.m. in the Worship Center. Enjoy dinner and the show for $7 per person or $30 per family; RSVP to Sandy Ives at sandy@riovistachurch.com or call her at 954-522-2518, x. 102. Class, family, group, duo, and solo acts can participate. If you would like to enter, register by February 3 ($15 per act; scholarships are available).

ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING & ROBOTICS FOR GRADES K-4
Register now for the winter session of the Kids Wealth Institute's "Electrical Engineering and Intro to Robotics" for Grades K-4. These after school classes begin Monday, January 30, and meet from 3:05-4:00 p.m. for 8 weeks. Students will explore these topics in a hands-on, interactive environment and receive a take-home item.
