Mrs. Boer received her B.A.. in elementary education from Kean University in New Jersey and her master’s degree in reading specialization from Arcadia University in Glenside, Pennsylvania. She later earned an ED.S. (educational specialist degree) in educational leadership from Barry University. She began her career as an elementary teacher, first at Naples Christian Academy (Naples, Florida) and then at the Philadelphia-Montgomery Christian Academy in Philadelphia. During her many years at Westminster Christian in Miami, she served as a K-12 reading specialist, language arts coordinator, curriculum specialist, certification coordinator, elementary assistant principal, elementary principal, middle school principal, and superintendent.
Mrs. Boer is the current executive vice president of Christian Schools of Florida and is also a member of the National Association of Elementary School Principals, the Florida Association of School Administrators, the Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development, and the International Reading Association. |
